Series 1

Impact Stories, ImpactTech

ImpactTech (aka ‘tech for good’) has definitely come of age and it’s a great time to be sharing these stories. Entrepreneurship is all about solving problems, and impact entrepreneurs are solving the problems that really matter - to human wellbeing and the wellbeing of the planet. And much of this momentum and impact is inevitably driven by technology.

I first started Series 1 of the podcast to get to know the entrepreneurs in Healthtech, to showcase their businesses and understand something about their journey. I interviewed innovative and ground-breaking businesses such as Knok, DrDoctor and Vali Health that are simplifying and reimagining the provision of healthcare. I spoke to VIrtual Doctors who have brought telemedicine to Sub Saharan Africa, Kinela bringing connected care to the disabled in remote Australia, and My Online Therapy who are pioneering virtual support for mental health.

Healthtech and medtech are inevitably intertwined and, with my personal connection to disability, I was delighted to find out more about Andiamo’s ambitions in orthotics and beyond, the possibilities opening up for kids with low attention at TALi Health and the invention and commitment to disability inclusion brought by Neatebox, ChatableApps and Access Rating. I dug a little into AI-driven biotechnology solutions thanks to Arctoris and Oncimmune, and sought to bring a perspective on international healthcare in my episode with Medall in Chennai.

But I can’t discuss Impact without considering environmental imapct, and I took my first step into Sustainability with my conversation with Recycleye.

All fantastic businesses and absolutely worthy of your time to listen and understand their mission. Please support them in any way you can!
